The process of "socialization" is one of the most important and complex processes in contemporary societies. There is an urgent and pressing need to renew and update the institutions responsible for bringing up and educating citizens so as to enable them to cope with the profound changes taking place in most Arab societies. Aligned with this comes the need to renew the functions and roles of school as a national institution concerned with educating citizens for the practice of democracy and respect for the values and principles on which democracy is based, including the deep grasp of citizens’ rights and duties. It is important, therefore, for all institutions supposed to cater for the socialization process to think about building a curriculum for educational integration, characterized by integration, inclusiveness, cohesion and flexibility. This curriculum should aim to achieve human development through education on values, human rights and choice... It should also stem from the principles of Islam, which are divine, global, complementary, balanced and gradual... Only by so doing, can we aspire to produce a successful development model, which will meet educational needs and goals, thus allowing our communities to catch up with the pace of development and progress in the world. Educational integration is a major feature of modern education because it is closely related to the personality of the individual: spiritually, intellectually and physically. Moreover, it relates the individual to society through the various institutions responsible for socialization. Any deficiency may inevitably impact both the social status of the individual as well as the equilibrium of his community. Balanced integrated education requires that individuals develop balanced and moderate attitudes, behavior, inclinations, and judgment.
تعتبر عملية (التنشئة الاجتماعية) من أكثر العمليات أهمية وتعقيدًا في المجتمعات المعاصرة، حيث برزت الحاجة إلى ضرورة تجديد مؤسسات (التنشئة الاجتماعية)، وتحيين أدوارها لتواكب التحولات العميقة التي تشهدها المجتمعات العربية، في ظل التطور الهائل الذي شمل مختلف الميادين والمجالات... كما برزت الحاجة إلى ضرورة تجديد وظائف المدرسة وأدوارها بصفتها مدرسة وطنية تعنى بتربية المواطنين على الديمقراطية، واحترام القيم والمبادئ التي تقوم عليها، كما تعمّق مفهوم الحق والواجب لديهم... من هذا المنطلق، ينبغي التفكير في بناء منهج للتكامل التربوي لمؤسسات التنشئة الاجتماعية أساسه التكامل والشمول والترابط والمرونة، ويسعى إلى تحقيق التنمية الإنسانية من خلال مداخل التربية والقيم وحقوق الإنسان والاختيار...، وينهل من معين التربية الإسلامية الشاملة، التي تتصف بمبادئ كونية أساسها: الربانية، والعالمية، والتكامل، والتوازن، والتدرج...؛ لأجل بناء نموذج تنموي ناجح، يحقق أهداف التربية وغاياتها المنشودة، ويساهم في اللحاق بمجتمع التنمية وركب التطور. فالتكامل التربوي يشكل سمة رئيسة من سمات التربية الحديثة، لارتباطه الوثيق بشخصية الفرد (في جوانبها الروحية والفكرية والجسدية) من جهة، وفي علاقة الفرد بالمجتمع من خلال مؤسسات التنشئة المختلفة من جهة أخرى، فوجود خلل ما فيه قد ينعكس لا محالة على الوضع المجتمعي للفرد، وعلى توازن هذا المجتمع. ومن ثم فالتربية المتكاملة المتوازنة تقتضي أن ينشأ الفرد على التوازن والوسطية والاعتدال في مواقفه وسلوكاته واتجاهاته وميوله وأحكامه...
