يتكون البحث من مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة مباحث، في التمهيد عرفت بالمساجد في اللغة والاصطلاح، وفي المبحث الأول تناولت حديث القرآن عن المساجد وحاولت إبراز عناية القرآن الكريم بهذه البقاع الطاهرة، ثم المبحث الثاني الأمر ببناء المساجد وعمارتها حسيا ومعنويا، ثم المبحث الثالث: خصائص المساجد، وجاء الحديث فيها عن تشييدها على التوحيد، وتوفير الأمن والأمان لأهلها، وطهارتها وصيانتها، والأمر بالتجمل والزينة حين الحضور إليها، ثم النهي عن الصد عنها. ثم جعلت نهاية البحث خاتمة فيها أهم النتائج المؤكدة لأهمية موضوع المساجد، والاستدلال على ذلك بإضافتها إلى الله تعالى، وهي إضافة تشريف وتنويه برفعة مكانتها، وارتباط بعض دلائل نبوة نبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بالمساجد كحادثة الإسراء، ورؤيا المنام في الحديبية.
research work is divided into preliminaries, an introduction and three parts. In the preliminaries, the researcher explains the meaning of mosques in both their lexical and specialized meaning. In the first part, the researcher discusses references to mosques in the Quran, and tries to highlight the care devoted in the Quran to these sacred places. The second part tackles the commandment in the Quran of building and populating mosques in the physical as well as the abstract sense. The third part discusses the characteristics of mosques, including construction of mosques so that they become places of worshipping Allah alone, granting security and peace for people who go there, cleaning and providing maintenance for mosques, the commandment of wearing clean and nice-smelling clothes when visiting mosques and lastly prohibiting preventing people from going to mosques. The conclusion includes the main findings, among which are: The importance of the issue of mosques, due to their association to Allah, an association of ennoblement and an indication of their high status; the relation of some of the prophet hood signs of prophet Mohammad with mosques such as Isra (Prophet Muhammad journey from Makkah to Jerusalem) and the dream prophet Muhammad had before Al- Hudaibiah Battle.
