المستخلص: This research paper deals with the study of the mechanisms of extremism among young people and the consequential behaviors that indicate to the deviation of thinking and terrorist acts. It also explains the role of the young people as an active and effective element in relation to the process of enlightened development as a wall against acts of violence and terrorism, in addition to approaches and efforts to combat extremist ideas and backward calls which seek to prevent the progress of society. The subject of terrorism is one of the subjects that must be drawn attention to in the Arab arena. That is as security confrontation alone cannot deal with the distortion of ideas and the fractured psychological structure of the terrorist personality. As such, it is necessary to clarify some psychological points so that the correct approach can be taken with that bomb which could explode at any moment, leaving behind innocent victims whilst being garbed in the dress of religion and the defense of rights.

هذه الورقة البحثية تختص بدراسة آليات التطرف لدى الشباب وما يستتبعها من السلوكيات الدالة على انحراف التفكير والأعمال الإرهابية وتقوم بتوضيح دور الشباب كعنصر فاعل ومؤثر بالنسبة لمسيرة التطور التنويري كحائط صد ضد أعمال العنف والإرهاب وأساليب وجهود لمكافحة الأفكار المتطرفة والدعاوى الرجعية التي تهدف للحد من تقدم المجتمع. أن موضوع الإرهاب يعد من الموضوعات التي لابد من توجيه الانتباه لها على الساحة العربية، فالمواجهة الأمنية فقط لا يمكنها التعامل مع تشوه الأفكار والبناء النفسي المتصدع للشخصية الإرهابية لذا لزم توضيح بعض النقاط النفسية حتى يمكن التعامل الصحيح مع تلك القنبلة التي يمكن أن تنفجر في أي لحظة مخلفة ضحايا لا ذنب لهم متسترة برداء الدين والدفاع عن الحقوق.
