المستخلص: The language has attracted the attention of both ancient and modern Arab scholars. Their linguistic efforts have been directed towards the language spoken by adults and the attempt to guide them to use it in an eloquent manner, avoiding grammatical and spelling errors-while practicing writing- But at the same time they neglected to study an important aspect of the language, it is the language of the child, its development, and the changes that accompany the stages of development so that the child can use the language correctly as the adults do. We have not found a single scholar who dealt with these issues in any individual writing, or has given us linguistic explanations of the phenomena that accompany the growth of language in the child, except some passing references in the folds of their books. However, the situation is not the same as before, after the great development that took place in the language studies in modern era, many West as well as Arab scholars showed their interest in this field. But the studies in this regard are still few, and this is what prompted the researcher to conduct several researches on the language of the child. One of these researches is the study of the development of the phonological side of the language of the child, so that the language student is informed about the development of this aspect of child language, and all phases of its development as well, until the child reaches the correct use of the language.

حظيت اللغة باهتمام علماء العربية قديما وحديثا، وقد اتجهت جهودهم اللغوية في ذلك صوب اللغة التي يتداولها الراشدون، ومحاولة إرشادهم إلى سبل استعمالها استعمالا بليغاً متجنبين في ذلك الأخطاء النحوية والصرفية والإملائية-حين ممارسة الكتابة-، لكنهم في الوقت نفسه أهملوا دراسة جانب مهم من اللغة وهو لغة الطفل، وتطور هذه اللغة، وما يصيبها من تغييرات ترافق مراحل نموها حتى يتمكن الطفل من استعمال اللغة استعمالاً صحيحاً كما يفعل الراشدون، فلم نجد عالما أفرد مؤلفا تناول هذه المسائل، أو قدم لنا تعليلات لغوية للمظاهر التي ترافق نمو اللغة عند الطفل، غير إشارات عابرة في ثنايا كتبهم. بيد أن الحال لم يبق على ما هو عليه سابقا، فبعد التطور الكبير الذي حدث في الدراسات اللغوية في العصر الحديث طرق هذا الباب كثير من علماء الغرب وكذلك من علماء العرب، لكن الدراسات في هذا الجانب لا تزال قليلة، وهذا ما دفع الباحثة لإجراء عدة بحوث تتناول اللغة عند الطفل، ومن هذه البحوث دراسة تطور الجانب الفونولوجي من اللغة عند الطفل، حتى يقف دارس اللغة على تطور هذا الجانب من اللغة عند الطفل، ومراحل هذا التطور حتى يصل الطفل إلى الاستعمال الصحيح للغة.
