المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مفهوم القدوة في الإسلام، والكشف عن معالم القدوة في سيرة أبي عبيدة بن الجراح رضي الله عنه، والتوصل إلى ممارسات تطبيقية تربوية يستنير بها المعلم من خلال معالم القدوة الماثلة في سيرة أبي عبيدة بن الجراح رضى الله تعالى عنه. وقد استخدم الباحث للوصول إلى نتائج البحث المنهج الوصفي. بأسلوبه التحليلي. وقد أظهرت الدراسة النتائج التالية: 1-أن القدوة هي: ذلك المعلم والمربي المسلم – أيا كان موقعه واستقامته الذي يحتذى به في سمته وقوله وفعله حياً ومتياً، للاسترشاد به. ٢-لا يشترط أن تكون القدوات كلها حسنة، وأن الحيوان قد يكون أهدى من البشر في ذلك، وأن الميزان والمحك الحقيقي هو الشرع المطهر. ٣ -أن القدوة الحسنة في الإسلام تعني كل من تمثل خيرا فوافقه من بعده، وأن القدوة السيئة كل من تمثل سوءاً فوافقه من بعده، ولا تخرج أقسام القدوات في مجملها عن هذين القسين 4-أن للقدوة الحسنة آثار إيجابية، منها: الأجر العظيم، والثواب الجزيل. توفير الجهد التربوي. الانتفاع ما بإيجاد بيئة تربوية راشدة. اكتساب المقتدى قوة نفسيه مؤثرة بحسب حاله. تجعل المسلم على اتصال دائم بالخالق. تنمي الفضائل والأخلاق الحميدة في نفوس الأفراد. تنشئ التوازن والاعتدال في سلوك الفرد وشعوره. أنها تبصر بالعيوب وترشد إلى الأسلوب الأمثل. 5-أن للقدوة السيئة آثار سلبية، منها: الإثم العظيم، وهو على القدوة السيئة أشد من المقتدي. فساد المفتدي بفساد قدوته، وقد مر ذكر بعض الشواهد في ذلك كفساد قوم فرعون بفساد فرعون. الركون إلى الدنيا وكثرة الانشغال بها والتكاسل عن التربية والدعوة. التفريط في الطاعات، والتساهل والتقصير فيها. الهزلية وعدم الجدية. هدر الأوقات. 6-من صفات القدوة الحسنة للمعلم القدوة: الإخلاص، والصدق، والتواضع، والرفق والرحمة، والعدل، والعلم الشرعي، والصبر. ٧-برزت في سيرة أبي عبيدة صفات عظيمة منها: خدمة الإسلام، وعلم وفقه، وقوة وأمانة، وعدل، وزهد، وتواضع، وبراءة صدر من الأحقاد، وحلم، وكل خلق حسن وجد فيه، وعبادة: كجهاده، وصلاته، وصيامه، وتقواه، وصدقته. 8-استنبطت من سيرة أبي عبيدة رضى الله عنه: صفات المعلم القدوة في مجال العبادات، منها: الدعوة إلى الله تعالى/الهجرة بالدين/الجهاد/نشر العلم وبذله/التقوى/الصلاة/الصيام/الصدقة. وأيضاً صفاته في مجال المعاملات، منها: هيأة المعلم/التماسك الأسري/حسن الخلق/ القوة والأمانة.
