|b In this philosophical exercise, I try to study the concept of vio¬lence. This word in the political theory of Hobbes has a new signi¬ficance. It has not a negative meaning but is essential in order to provide security for the man and the state. Violence is important for the protection of the law. In this perspective, Hobbes exposes a new conception of the violence, that's why I considered this philosopher as a revolutionary in the political domain. Finally, the violence is not the ultimate purpose of the state according the author of Leviathan but it has a constructive meaning. Law and violence coexisted for the peace. In an additional meaning, com¬bination between Law, Right, and violence is the condition of the foundation of a gigantic state, which is able to defend security.
