المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرف إلى دور جامعة حائل في وقاية الشباب من مظاهر التطرف الفكري، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي، والاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، واختيرت عينة عشوائية بلغت (162) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في حائل، وأظهرت النتائج أن دور جامعة حائل في وقاية الشباب من مظاهر التطرف الفكري جاء بدرجة متوسطة، وجاءت المجالات مرتبة تنازليًا كالآتي: (الديني، الاقتصادي، الاجتماعي، الأكاديمي، السياسي)، وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعا لمتغير الجنس، ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا تعزى لمتغير سنوات الخبرة لصالح فئة كل من (أقل من 5 سنوات، من 5- 10 سنوات) بالمقارنة مع فئة ( 10 سنوات فأكثر)، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة عكسية بين متوسطات تقديرات أعضاء هيئة التدريس لدور جامعة حائل في وقاية الشباب من مظاهر التطرف الفكري ودرجة التحديات التي تواجهها على جميع المجالات، وعليها ككل.

This study aimed at identifying the role of Hail University in preventing the youth from the intellectual extremism manifestations, the descriptive survey method was used, and the questionnaire was used as a study tool, a random sample of (162) faculty members in Hail was selected from Hail. The study findings showed that The role of Hail University in preventing the youth from the intellectual extremism manifestations was medium, and the dimensions came respectively as follow: the (Religious, and economic, social, academic, political) dimension, ), and that there aren't statistically significant differences in the role of Hail University in preventing the youth from the intellectual extremism manifestations attributed to gender variable, and that there are statistically significant differences attributed to experience variable in favor of category (5 years or less, and from 5-10 years) in comparing with the category of (10 years or more, and there are statistically significant difference s attributed to gender variable in favor of males. While there aren't statistically significant difference attributed to qualification variable. The results also showed that there is an inverse relationship between the estimates averages of the role of Hail University in preventing the youth from the intellectual extremism manifestations and the degree of challenges faced by the universities on all the dimensions, and on them as a whole.
