|b The study examined the attitudes of the Kuwaiti society towards the political and security systems of some neighboring countries, namely the Islamic Republic of Iran, The Republic of Iraq and Israel, and the possibility of cooperation with them. The study attempted to explore the Kuwaiti citizen’s view of these countries from various angles and themes that relate to cultural, political and security aspects. The study also examined the Kuwaiti citizen’s viewpoint about the possibility of cooperation with these countries. The research sample comprised 664 male and female respondents, whose ages ranged between 17-73 years. A questionnaire of two parts was implemented as the main tool of analysis for this study; the first part represented the respondents’ primary information and data, while the second part consisted of three scales: the scale of the cultural perspective of the political system, the scale of the cultural perspective of the security system, and the scale of the cultural views about the possibility of cooperation with these systems. The data was entered and analyzed by the SPSS statistical program (version 22), and the descriptive statistics, the T- test, and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient were also used. The study results showed that there was a negative cultural perspective among the sample towards the political and security systems and the possibility of cooperation with Iran, Iraq, and Israel in general.

|a تسعى الدراسة إلى قياس اتجاهات المجتمع المحلي نحو بعض الدول المجاورة في الإقليمين الخليجي والعربي، وهي: الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية وجمهورية العراق وإسرائيل... وتحاول الدراسة استطلاع الرأي حول نظرة المواطن الكويتي لهذه الدول من عدة محاور وزوايا، منها: الثقافي والسياسي والأمني. كما تنظر الدراسة وجهة نظر المواطن الكويتي حول إمكانية التعاون مع هذه الدول. ولقد بلغ عدد أفراد العينة البحثية 664 مستجيباً ومستجيبة راوحت أعمارهم بين 17 و 73 سنة، وقد استخدمت الاستبانة أداة رئيسية للدراسة. وشملت الاستمارة جزأين: الأول تمثل في المعلومات والبيانات الأولية للمستجيب، والجزء الثاني جاء مكوناً من ثلاثة مقاييس: مقياس النظرة الثقافية للنظام السياسي، ومقياس النظرة الثقافية للنظام الأمني، والنظرة الثقافية لإمكانية التعاون مع هذين النظامين. أدخلت البيانات وحللت بواسطة البرنامج الإحصائي SPSS، (نسخة 22). اعتمدت الدراسة على الإحصاء الوصفي، واختبار (ت)، ومعامل الارتباط بيرسون. تمثلت أبرز النتائج في أن هناك نظرة ثقافية غير إيجابية إلى النظامين العراقي والإيراني وكذلك الإسرائيلي، من قبل أفراد العينة، مع وجود بعض الفروق في المتوسطات بين الأنظمة المختلفة المدروسة.
