المستخلص: The innovative novelist Waciny Laredj manipulates history and events in the book “The Prince’s Book: The Paths of the Iron Gates” and reimagines it around his heroes and the characters of his novel. After that he then organizes the places, times and events and sets them around them (i.e. the heroes and characters) according to his vision and ideology. It's as if he is playing an enjoyable and difficult game at the same time.
As such, this novel once again asks the puzzling question: How can we read and approach a narrative text that deserves to be stopped at (to examine it) when it is immersed in politics or political history, or involves a large part of it? Where is this text technically, morally and aesthetically positioned, as it is manipulated by the historian's mission, or the return to history was merely in search of an answer to a current question imposed by certain political circumstances? The difficulty of this question is compounded in the purely historical novel, which penetrates into time and gives rise to certain events and facts which overlap with other facts created by the fiction. As such it rebuilt it from anew, by forging new relationships between real and imaginary characters.

Dans son roman «Livre de l’Emir, itinéraires des portes de fer » le romancier WacinyLaâredj réorganise l’histoire et les événements autour les acteurs et les personnages de son
roman. Ensuite il recompose les lieux, les temps et les événements selon sa vision et son idéologie, comme un jeu agréable et pénible en même temps.
Ce roman repose donc la question étonnante : comment peuton lire et s’approcher d’un texte romantique noyé dans la politique et l’histoire de la politique, ou renferme une bonne partie de toutes les deux à la fois ? Où se situe techniquement, littérairement et esthétiquement lorsque cela fait partie de la mission de l’historien, ou si le retour à l’histoire ce n’est que pour répondre à une question d’actualité imposée par des circonstances politiques spécifiques ?
La question devient plus difficile lorsqu’il s’agit d’un roman purement historique qui pénètre dans le temps et s’inspire des événements particuliers qui interviennent avec celles de l’imagination du romancier. Il la rétablie, en tissant des relations nouvelles entre des personnages réels et virtuels.

يتلاعب الروائي المبدع واسيني الأعرج بالتاريخ والأحداث في رواية "كتاب الأمير مسالك أبواب الحديد" ويعيد ترسيمها حول أبطاله وشخوص روايته. ثم ينظم بعد ذلك أمكنتها وأزمنتها وأحداثها ويركبها حولهم وفق رؤيته وأيديولوجيته. كأنه يمارس لعبة ممتعة وشاقة في آن واحد.
لذلك فإن هذه الرواية تعيد طرح السؤال المحير: كيف لنا أن نقرأ ونقارب نصاً روائيا يستحق التوقف عنده وهو غارق في السياسة أو التاريخ السياسي، أو منطو على جزء كبير منهما؟ وأين يتموضع هذا النص فنيا وأدبياً وجمالياً، إذ يتماحك بمهمة المؤرخ، أو إن العودة إلى التاريخ لم تكن إلا بحثا عن إجابة لسؤال راهن فرضته ظروف سياسية معينة؟ تتفاقم صعوبة هذا السؤال في الرواية التاريخية البحتة التي توغل في الزمن وتمتح منه أحداثا ووقائع معينة تتداخل مع وقائع أخرى صنعها خيال الروائي، فأعاد بناءها من جديد، بنسج علاقات جديدة بين الشخصيات الحقيقية والمتخيلة.
