|b The most significant reasons behind the selection of this research paper’s title, are those trends which had been adopted by school curriculum planners in 1992, to introduce original values and morals in setting the education policies, in order to have them been included in the contents of the school curriculums. This is, however, being considered a general trend in the Arab and African region. Planning for school curriculum is a process that is closely related to the education philosophy in the cultural and dogmatic and civilized inheritance references of the societies. Accordingly, the school curriculum planners would be faced by a problem that lies in the answer to the question of how to choose from among knowledge, concepts and values. The nature of the twenty-one century, on the other hand, renders this problem more complicated, due to the abundance of the scientific and epistemological production and the rapidity of the means of communication and the coming on the scene of the technology as effective means, which facilitates the transformation of the information, values, and behavior. This is in addition to the mutual influence between the societies. In light of these facts, the issue of curriculum planning-based on the moral values would be a matter of great concern and of grave difficulty at the same time. This difficulty, however, lies in how to keep pace with rapid changes that affect the information and knowledge, on one hand, and the commitment to the originality which is based upon the civilized inheritance of the society and the maintenance of the peculiarities, on the other. The research aimed to shed more light on the Islamic scientific tradition and criticize the same and extract its treasures. The research used the historical approach, the inductive approach and the deductive approach to review the research subject in the Islamic traction. The research comprised of an introduction in which the contribution of Muslims to the progress of science and knowledge and the establishment of the rules of scientific research have been thoroughly discussed. In this regard the research has recognized the role of the western civilization in the development of the sciences, theories, rules, and other applications, which contributed significantly to the contemporary scientific renaissance. In respect of the research conceptual framework, the research raised four topics, that is to say, moral values between Greek philosophy and Islamic fundamentalism. The research also reviewed the efforts made by six of ancient Muslims scholars regarding the research subject. In addition to that, the research reviewed a number of modern Muslims works and made a comparison between the efforts of ancient Muslims and what has been raised recently by the Ministry of Education. Based on this account, the research provided a number of research findings and recommendations as per the following: Research Findings: The efforts of Muslims scholars in all forms of knowledge and the establishment of the rules of scientific research had made a starting point for the modern western civilization. The research inferred the moral values from the writings of ancient Muslims and made lists to arrange them. The research as well, conducted a comparison between the efforts of ancient Muslims scholars and what has been laid down by the Ministry of Education as a set of standardized values. Moral values according to Muslims scholars had been based upon practical and behavioral experiences and not based upon mere theories as in the case of Greek civilization. Research Recommendations: The research recommended encouraging the new generation of researchers to conduct more research studies and look into the Islamic tradition. The research recommended doing extensive studies to cover the changes and understand the dictation of time. The research recommended education planners to pay particular attention to the rapid changes in the behavior of the societies, owing to the confusion in the values and the transformation of knowledge and behaviors of other societies by the act of technology. Oriental societies in general, are in danger, unless they pay special attention to develop the systems of education and exert due care to maintain the standards of quality therein
