المستخلص: لاقى إطلاق فليم الجنة الآن التصفيق الحار وإحراز العديد من الجوائز بعد الصمت الطويل للأفلام السينمائية الخالية التي تطرح موضوع العمليات الانتحارية. فهم القنابل الإنسانية دون تبريرها كانت رسالة المخرج إلا أن الفيلم يبقى موضوع نقاش: فمن جهة يرى بعض الإسرائيليين أنه محاولة للتعاطف مع الانتحاريين متجاهلا الضحايا ومن جهة أخرى نجد أصوات فلسطينية تعيب عليه أنه كسر شذى البطولة للعمليات الاستشهادية.

Rompant avec un long mutisme cinématographique concernant la fictionnalisation des attaques suicides, la sortie du film Paradis Now a été largement applaudie et récompensée. Comprendre les bombes humaines sans les justifier serait le message de son réalisateur. Néanmoins, il demeure un film problématique: certains Israéliens l’accusent d’avoir cherché à humaniser les kamikazes tout en négligeant les victimes; des voix palestiniennes lui reprochent d’avoir brisé l’aura et l’héroïsme des opérations martyres.

The launching of Paradise Now is rewarded with broad appreciation and applauds as it breaks the long cinematographic silence regarding the fictionalization of suicide attacks. The director explained that the message behind the film is understanding “human bombs” without justifying the action itself. However, the film persists as a problematic production and continues to generate controversial feedback. For some Israelis “Paradise Now” forefronts and humanizes the Kamikazes while neglecting the victims. On the other hand, some frustrated Palestinian voices accuse the director of distorting the heroic aura surrounding the “martyr operations”
