المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى تعرف العلاقة بين مفهوم الذات والتوافق النفسي لدى عينة من طلبة جامعة دمشق. والفروق بين درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس مفهوم الذات ومقياس التوافق النفسي تبعا لمتغيري: (الجنس، التخصص الدراسي). واعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج الوصفي. وبلغت عينة البحث (726) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة جامعة دمشق موزعة على (315) ذكور و(411) إناث، واستخدمت الباحثة مقياس مفهوم الذات، ومقياس التوافق النفسي. ومن أبرز النتائج التي توصل البحث إليها: وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مفهوم الذات والتوافق النفسي لدى عينة من طلبة جامعة دمشق. عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس مفهوم الذات تبعا لمتغير الجنس. عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس مفهوم الذات تبعا لمتغير التخصص الدراسي الجامعي. عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس التوافق النفسي تبعا لمتغير الجنس. وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس التوافق النفسي تبعا لمتغير التخصص الدراسي الجامعي لصالح طلبة كلية الهندسة المدنية.

The research aims to identify the relationship between the concept of self and psychological compatibility in a sample of students of Damascus University. And the differences between the grades of the members of the research sample on the scale of self-concept and the measure of psychological compatibility according to the variables: (sex, specialization). The researcher adopted the descriptive approach. The study sample (726) male and female students of Damascus University distributed to (315) males and (411) females, and used the researcher measure the concept of self, and the measure of psychological compatibility. The most important findings of the research: the existence of positive correlation relationship of statistical significance between the concept of self and psychological compatibility in a sample of students of Damascus University. There were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the individuals in the research sample on the scale of self concept according to gender variable. There were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the individuals of the research sample on the self concept scale according to the variable of the university specialization. There were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the individuals of the research sample on the scale of psychological compatibility according to gender variable. The existence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of the individuals of the research sample on the scale of psychological compatibility according to the variable of the academic specialization for the students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
