المستخلص: يعد تحقيق متطلبات التنمية المستدامة من أهم الجوانب التي أصبحت تجذب انتباه كافة الدول على مستوى العالم بشكل متزايد، فأغلب المجتمعات تتطلع على إنجاز تنمية اقتصادية، واجتماعية، وسياسية، وبيئية تضمن بها تحقيق مستويات معيشة متنامية، وإشباع الحاجات المادية الأساسية، وتحسين نوعية الحياة لأفرادها الحاليين وللأجيال القادمة، وتحسين بيئاتها الآن ومستقبلاً؛ ولذلك تعتبر قضية التنمية المستدامة من القضايا المحورية التي تستحق أن تركز عليها جهود كافة دول العالم – وخاصة دول العالم النامي – في المرحلة القادمة. ومن ثم تعد الجامعات وخاصة كليات التربية من كثر المؤسسات تحملاً لمسئولية تحقيق متطلبات التنمية المستدامة؛ باعتبارها أداة المجتمع الرئيسة في إمداد وتزويد المجتمع بالكفاءات البشرية ولفكرية القادرة على تغيير مستقبله وصياغته؛ بما يتلاءم مع التغيرات والتحديات المعاصرة؛ لقيادة المجتمع نحو تحقيق التنمية المستدامة؛ من خلال القيام بوظائفها الأساسية وهي: التعليم، والبحث العلمي، وخدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة. ومن ثم يصبح الهدف المنهجي لهذه الدراسة هو التعرف على واقع أدوار كليات التربية التي تقوم بها في مجال خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، وكذلك البحث عن أهم المعوقات التي تواجه كليات التربية بالجامعات المصرية عند قيامها بهذا الدور، ومن ثم بناء تصوراً لهذا الدور مستقبلاً في ضوء متطلبات التنمية المستدامة.

Achieving the requirements of sustainable development is one of the most important aspects that is attracting the attention of all countries around the world. Most societies aspire to achieve economic, social, political and environmental development in order to achieve living standards, satisfy basic material needs and improve the quality of life of their current members, for future generations, and to improve their environments now and in the future. Therefore, the issue of sustainable development is a central issue that deserves the attention of all countries of the world - especially the developing world - in the next phase. The universities, especially the faculties of education, are among the most responsible institutions to meet the sustainable development requirements. They are the main tool of the society in providing and providing the community with the human and intellectual capacities capable of changing and shaping its future in line with contemporary changes and challenges; To carry out its core functions: education, scientific research, community service and environmental development. So, the methodological objective of this study is to identify the role of the faculties of education in the field of community service and environmental development, as well as the search for the most important obstacles facing the faculties of education in Egyptian universities in performing this role, and then build a vision for this role in the future in light of the requirements sustainable development.
