هدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على مستوى أداء الأستاذ الجامعي بالجامعة الإسلامية ومعوقات تطويرها، والكشف عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة(0.05)حول أداء الأستاذ الجامعي بالجامعة الإسلامية ومعوقات تطويرها وفق متغيرات البحث )الدرجة العلمية - عدد الدورات التدريبية – عدد سنوات الخبرة(، واشتملت عينة الدراسة على (45) عضو هيئة تدريس من الجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة، واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي كمنهج للبحث، واستعان بالاستبانة كأداة للبحث، وقد توصل البحث للعديد من النتائج أهمها: أن مستوى أداء الأستاذ الجامعي بالجامعة الإسلامية جاء بدرجة متوسطة، وأن معوقات تطوير أداء الأستاذ الجامعي بالجامعة الإسلامية جاءت بدرجة عالية، كما توصل البحث إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة0.05)) في آراء أفراد عينة البحث حول محاور الاستبانة والدرجة الكلية طبقا متغيرات )الدرجة العلمية – عدد الدورات التدريبية – عدد سنوات الخبرة(، وقد أوصى الباحث بالعديد من التوصيات أهمها: ضرورة توجيه الجامعة أعضاء هيئة التدريس نحو المشاركة في الندوات والمؤتمرات العلمية، وتقديم الجامعة حوافز مادية ومعنوية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس لتشجيع البحث العلمي.
The present study aimed at examining the level of performance of university professors at the Islamic University and the barriers to developing it. The study also aimed at revealing the existence of statistically significant differences at the significance level of (0.05) on community services in the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at the Islamic University and the barriers to maintaining their quality, based on the variables (academic degree - number of training courses - number of years of experience). The study sample included (45) faculty members of the Islamic University in Madinah. The researcher adopted the analytical descriptive approach as the research methodology and used a questionnaire as the research instrument. The study yielded several results, the most important of which are the following: level of performance of the university professor at the Islamic University was rated (moderate), and barriers to the development of the university professor's performance at the Islamic University were rated (high). The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level of (0.05) among study sample members' opinions on the questionnaire's axes and total score, based on the variables (academic degree - number of training courses - number of years of experience). The researcher presented several recommendations, the most important of which are the following: the necessity that universities direct faculty members toward participating in scientific seminars and conferences; and the necessity that universities provide faculty members with both material and moral incentives in order to encourage scientific research.
