المستخلص: كان للدين ولا يزال تأثير مباشر على الجوانب العامة لحياة الناس فقد كتب الكثير من البحوث والدراسات التي تتناول الديانات المختلفة والتي ظهرت خلال العهود القديمة من التأريخ لما له من تماس وتأثير على عقول وأفكار البشر، بل وأصبح السمة المميزة للعديد من حقب التاريخ، بالإضافة إلى الديانات السماوية المنزلة فقد ظهرت العديد من الديانات الروحية والحركات الفكرية والتي سيرت حياة العامة من الناس، وكان لها أيضا تأثير مباشر على الحركة السياسية للبلدان حيث كان الملوك والسلاطين في عهد ما قبل الإسلام يستعينون كثيراً برجال الدين لإدارة أمور البلاد المختلفة لذلك اكتسب رجال الدين منزلة كبيرة عند السلاطين والملوك حتى تم تقريبهم في بعض الأحيان من الأسر الحاكمة. وقد ظهر في الهند والصين وآسيا الوسطى وإيران وفي بلاد الرافدين العديد من هذه الديانات وكان أشهرها (الزردشتية والبوذية والماذية والمزدكية والكونفوشيوسية والمانوية) وهذه الأخيرة هي موضوع بحثنا، فالمانوية من الديانات التي ظهرت في القرن الثالث الميلادي والتي كان لها تأثير كبير على عقائد وعقول الناس آنذاك ولا زالت عقائد وأفكار هذه الديانة معروفة بين العديد من سكان المناطق في جنوب شرق آسيا وإيران علماً أن بداياتها كانت في أرض الرافدين وفي مدينة بابل بالتحديد نظراً لمكانة هذه المدينة وتطورها الحضاري، استطاع ماني من خلال أسلوبه الخاص وعبقريته الفذة أن يجمع العديد من الأفكار التي تناغم الفكر الإنساني وتحقق تطلعاته، فاقتبس من الديانات السماوية والوضعية ووضعها في بودقة واحدة، ونظم دستوره الخاص لعمل أتباعه ومقلديه لتنظيم وتسيير الحياة الاجتماعية لهم، ولولا وجود هذه الأفكار مكررة عند باقي الأديان لكان لها شأناً أكبر مما هي عليه الآن. من هنا تأتي أهمية دراسة هذا الموضوع الذي حاز على اهتمام الباحثين والدارسين والمهتمين بالأديان، لدراسة المصادر الفكرية التي نهلت منها الديانة المانوية أفكارها العقائدية ودستور عملها، وكان أبرزها (المسيحية والزرادشتية والبوذية) إضافة إلى الحركات الفكرية الأخرى، لذا جاء بحثنا هذا لدراسة هذه الديانة من الجانب التاريخي ودراسة حياة المؤسس الأول لها وجذوره وأصوله وكذلك العقائد والأفكار الدينية والأنبياء الذين أثروا في شخصيته مما دفعه إلى الأخذ بهذه الأفكار والاقتباس منها بشكل مباشر وغير مباشر والتي كان لها الأثر الواضح في عقائده وأفكاره، وأيضا نظرياته حول الخلق والخليقة والتعاليم والعبادات المتبعة من قبل مقلديه وتابعيه وأهم مؤلفاته ورسائله. فضلاً عن الاستنتاجات التي توصل لها الباحث وقائمة بأهم المصادر والمراجع التي اعتمدت في كتابة البحث.

Religion has had and continues to have a direct impact on the general aspects of people's lives. Various studies and research have been carried out that deal with different religions that emerged during the ancient times due to the contention and influence of these religions on the minds and thoughts of humans. They have sometimes become the distinguishing point of many particular periods of history. Many spiritual religions and intellectual movements, in addition to the divine religions, have emerged and guided the life of the public. They also had a direct impact on the political movement of countries. The pre-Islamic kings and sultans employed a lot of clerics to manage the country's various affairs. The clergy gained great status among the sultans and kings, and they were sometimes brought closer to the status of ruling families. Many of these religions have emerged in India, China, Central Asia, Iran, and Mesopotamia, including (Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Mazdakism, Confucianism, and Manichaeism), the latter being the subject of our research.
Manichaeism is one of the religions that emerged in the third century AD, which had a great influence on the beliefs and minds of the people at the time. Many residents of Southeast Asia and Iran are still familiar with the beliefs and ideas of this religion. It should be noted that this religion emerged in Mesopotamia, in the city of Babylon precisely because of the great status of this city and its cultural development. Through its style and inimitable genius, Manichaeism has been able to gather many ideas that harmonize human thought and fulfill his aspirations. It quoted from the divine and man-made religions and placed them in a single piece, and organized its constitution to be followed by his followers in order to regulate and conduct their social life. If these ideas were not repeated in other religions, they would have had a greater status than they are now. Therefore, the importance of studying this topic, which has attracted the attention of researchers, scholars, and those interested in religions, is to study the intellectual resources from which the Manichaeism has plundered its ideological ideas and the constitution of its work. The most prominent of them were Christianity, Zoroastrianism, and Buddhism, as well as other intellectual movements.
This research aims to study this religion from the historical side. The study also discusses the life of its first founder, his roots and origins, as well as religious beliefs and ideas and prophets that influenced his personality, which prompted him to adopt these ideas and quote them directly and indirectly, which had a clear impact on his beliefs and ideas, as well as his theories about creation and creature, teachings and worship followed by his followers and his most important writings and letters.
The study also includes the findings and a list of the most important sources and references used in this study
