المستخلص: KoThis research aims to follow the poetic aspect, its elements, and techniques in the novel “Atbara, the Waist of the Day” by AdilSaad Youssif. We are trying to highlight this poetic aspect in this narrative artistic work and prove that it has been able to maintain its literal identity and its classification as a novel via the integrality of its narrative elements and techniques. The problematic this research is trying to study is contained in the following basic question: What are aspects of the poetic style in the novel “Atbara, the Waist of the Day” and in what are the major elements and aspects of their presence? To deal with this problematic, the research focused on looking for the elements of the poetic style and its aesthetics in this novel. The study concluded that this aspect is present in the novel. It is present in the wide usage of poetic forms and interior music in some narrative sections. It is although present via the condensed language and its aesthetics. Consequently, the discourse o the novel became attracting and capturing making the reader eager to follow its beauty, signs and connotations. As a result of that poetic aspect, the reader becomes less interested in the seriatim of the events which usually attracts the reader of traditional novels, concentrating on sequential and chronological concatenation, without caring to the beauty of the language, its ambiguity, its different connotations, or its images, which are very close this novel to the spirit of the poesy, in addition to their narrative values. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تلمس الشعرية وعناصرها وتقنياتها في رواية أتبرا خاصرة النهار، لعادل سعد يوسف، وتحاول أن تبرز هذه السمة (الشعرية) في هذا العمل السردي، في الوقت الذي حافظت فيه هذه الرواية على هويتها وجنسها الأدبي من خلال تكامل عناصر السرد الروائي فيها. والقضية التي يسعى هذا البحث لاستقصائها تكمن في السؤال الجوهري التالي: ما مكامن الشعرية السردية في رواية أتبرا خاصرة النهار؟ وما أبرز تجلياتها وعناصرها؟ ولمعالجة هذه القضية ركزت الدراسة على البحث عن عناصر الشعرية وجمالياتها في هذا العمل الروائي؛ وخلصت إلى أن هذه السمة قد تحققت في الرواية وذلك من خلال استخدام قالب الشعر وموسيقاه في بعض المقاطع السردية، وتكثيف اللغة وجمالياتها بحيث أصبحت لغة جاذبة آسرة قادرة على جعل القارئ يمضي في متابعة جمالياتها وإشاراتها وانزياحاتها، وليس جل همه متابعة الحكاية فقط وتسلسل أحداثها، حتي لو كان بلغة عادية وبسيطة، كما هو الحال عند قارئ الرواية التقليدية، تلك التي تعنى بالتتابع والتسلسل غير معنية بجمال اللغة وغموضها وإيحاءاتها وصورها، وهو ما لا ينفي صفة الحبكة نفسها عن هذه الرواية، ولكنه يجعلها تقترب من روح الشعر، علاوة على قيمتها السردية التي جعلتها تحافظ على عناصر البناء السردي في الوقت نفسه؛ مما يدل على اتجاه الرواية الحديثة للتداخل النوعي مع الشعر في هذه المرحلة من مراحل تطورها المستمر.
