للعلاقات القبرصية المصرية، وما تمخض عنها من إحداث نقطة تحول في هذه العلاقات في عهده، وانعكاس هذا التحول في العلاقات إيجاباً على مصالح مصر السياسية والاقتصادية والعسكرية على الساحة الدولية. من النواحي السياسية والاقتصادية والعسكرية، وعالجت طبيعة العلاقات المملوكية القبرصية، واستعرضت الوسائل السياسية والطرق الدبلوماسية والإجراءات العسكرية، سواء الداخلي منها أو الخارجي التي اتخذها السلطان برسباي من أجل تنفيذ رؤيته، وتحقيق أهداف مصر الاستراتيجية في المنطقة. عن وجود رؤية استراتيجية لدى السلطان برسباي، وجهت سياساته كلها لخدمة المصالح الاستراتيجية لمصر، وهي رؤية عكست وعيه بوجود علاقة بين مشكلات الداخل والمخاطر المحدقة بالوطن من الخارج، رؤية أدركت ما يتهدد مصالح الوطن وما يلزمه توظيفه من عناصر لخدمة هذه المصالح، وقد تصدى برسباي لكل المعوقات التي تحول بينه وبين تحقيق رؤيته فعالجها بحكمة وروية حتى حقق أهدافه.
The study aims at uncovering the strategic vision of Sultan Bersbay for the Egyptian-Cypriot relations, and the resultant change in these relations in his era, and the reflection of this shift in relations positively on Egypt's political, economic and military interests in the international arena. The study highlighted the strategic location of Cyprus and its danger to Egypt from the political, economic and military aspects. It examined the nature of the Mamluk-Cypriot relations and reviewed the political means, diplomatic methods and military measures, whether internal or external, taken by Sultan Barsbay to implement his vision and achieve Egypt's strategic objectives in the region. The study was based on the historical and analytical methods. It revealed the existence of a strategic vision of Sultan Barsbay, whose policies were directed to serve the strategic interests of Egypt, a vision that reflected his awareness of the relationship between internal problems and threats to the homeland from abroad. In order to serve these interests, he has addressed all the obstacles that prevent him from achieving his vision so He treated it with wisdom and contemplation until he achieved his goals.
