المستخلص: The study aimed at analyzing and measuring the reciprocal relationship between political instability and inflation rate in Egypt during the period (1982 - 2017). In addition, the study analyzed the situation of political stability in Egypt during the period indicated to determine the most important factors that contributed to the high degree of political instability as well as to clarify the most important requirements for achieving this stability. With regard to measuring the relationship between political instability and inflation rate, the study used the self-regression model and applied both the shock response function and the analysis of the components of the variance to evaluate the direct relationship between the two variables, as well as the main channels that contribute to the movement of political instability to the rate of inflation. The main channels included in the model are M2, government consumption expenditure and net trade balance.
