أمدتنا إيران خلال العصر القاجاري بعدد من الأعمال الفنية التي تحمل اسم الفنان إسماعيل جلاير، وتمثل هذه الأعمال مرحلة متطورة للفنون الإيرانية خلال الفترة الممتدة من نهاية القرن 13 ه / 19 م وحتى أوائل القرن، كما أنها تعكس بعض التيارات الفنية والاتجاهات الفكرية والعقائدية السائدة خلال هذه الفترة. وإسماعيل جلاير يعد واحدا من أهم فناني البلاط القاجاري عامة، وناصر الدين شاه قاجار (1264-1313/ 1848-1896م) بصفة خاصة، وعلى الرغم من شهرته ونشاطه الفني خلال النصف الثاني من القرن 13 هـ/ 19 م إلا أن معظم أعماله غير معروفة لدى أغلب الباحثين حتى الآن، في الوقت الذي لا يزال عدد ليس بالقليل منها على قيد الحياة، ودراستها تفيدنا في إلقاء الضوء عليه والتاريخ له واستخلاص أهم مميزات أسلوبه الفني وخصائص أعماله الفنية، خاصة وأن المصادر والمراجع لم تتعرض لها بشيء من التفصيل، ولم تفرد لها دراسة مستقلة. وسوف تتناول الدراسة فيما يلي هذا الموضوع عبر أربعة محاور، الأول يتعلق بحياة إسماعيل جلاير، والثاني ويتبع أعماله الفنية المصورة والكتابية مع دراسة بعضها دراسة وصفية تفصيلية، والثالث تحليلي يستخلص السمات العامة لأسلوب جلاير الفني، والأخير يختص بأثر المعتقدات المذهبية على أعماله.
During the Qajari Period, Iran provided us with a numerous art works that defined the name of the artisan Isma’il Galayir, These works show an advanced stage of Iranian art during the period which extends from the end of the 13th century/ 19th AD until the beginning of the 14th century AH/20th AD, it also reflects some of the prevailing trends of art during this period and it also displays the ideological and religious trends at the time. It is worthy saying that Isma’il Galayir is considered one of the most prominent artisans of the Qajari court in general and Nasir al-Din Sah Qagar (1264-1313/1848- 1896) in particular. Despite his fame and artistic activity during the second half of the 13th century/ 19th AD, most of his works are unknown to most researchers, so far, whereas most of them had been survived. These surviving works helps us to shed light to the dates and to extract the most important features of his artistic style and the characteristics of his works, especially when the sources and references are lack in mentioning any details on it, and there is no any separate study for this subject. The study will deal with four topics. The first is related to the life of Isma’il Galayir. The second tackles his artistic works, as well as his illustrated and written ones, with a description of his most prominent works. The third topic analyzes the general features of Isma’il Galayir's artistic style. The last topic is concerned with the impact of sectarian beliefs on his works.
