إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه، من يهده الله فلا مضل له، ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحدة لا شريك له، وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله. أما بعد. فإنه قد وقع اختلاف بين العلماء في مقدار العقيقة عن الغلام والجارية، فالبعض سوى بين الغلام والجارية في العقيقة، وقال: يكفي في حقهما شاة واحدة، والبعض قال: السنة في الصبي شاتان والصبية شاة، وأردت في هذا البحث أن أعرف سبب اختلاف العلماء في مقدار العقيقة عن الصبي والصبية، والأدلة التي اعتمدوا عليها، وعليه فأي القولين أقوى بناء على قوة وثبوت الأدلة. فاستعنت بالله وعقدت النية على أن أخص أحاديث هذه المسألة ببحث مستقل، أعرض فيه لتخريج كل حديث، وذكر طرقه، ثم أقوم بدراسة هذه الطرق، والنظر فيها، للوصول إلى درجة الحديث، وأتبعتها بخاتمة، وكانت نتيجتها كالآتي: خلاصة البحث في أحاديث هذا الموضوع أرى أن أقوها هو ما رويا في التفرقة بين عقيقة الغلام والجارية والله أعلم.
All praise is due to Allah, Whom we praise and seek help. He whom Allah guides, will never be misled; and he whom He misguides. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah without partners and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Having said that, there is a difference between Muslim Scholars regarding the Sunnah of Aqeeqah for boys and girls. Some scholars said that boys and girls are same in Aqeeqah. They also said that it is enough for both one sheep. Others said that the Sunnah for boys two of sheep and for girls only one. I would like, through this brief, to know the reason of such difference and their proofs. I also would like to know if there is a Hadith traceable to the Prophet regarding this case. I would like to know which opinion is correct according to strength of proofs. I seek the help of Allah and aimed at studying the Hadiths of this matter separately. I collected the Hadiths and referred to each according to resources. I did my best to collect from all resources. I studied and followed the same. I did the same to make sure if each Hadith is perfect or not. I followed the same with this conclusion: of the research in-the talk of this subject I expect that the strongest is that the year for the boy Shatan and the girl sheep.
