المستخلص: This study seeks to present a critical analytical approach to the reality and the future of “The Palestinian National Identity” in the light of the continuous arguments about the same topic. This is through analyzing the prevailing discourses of the identity, based on the problem which supposes that the issue of the Palestinian national identity is the issue of the Palestinian national gliberation movement and it is not the issue of the abstract theoretical analysis. It is by necessity the issue of the first national project, which expressed that identity. The development of the Palestinian national identity has been tied to the national struggle on the land and not to the analyses of the “cultured” elites. Subsequently, the outcome of the future Palestinian national Identity is governed by the ability of the Palestinian national liberation movement to bypass its Dilemma: the dilemma of the movement, the project and the identity. This is so because the natural outcome of the Palestinian national identity is by necessity is a struggle outcome, and regression in the struggle project is the biggest danger which threatens the future of the identity itself. The importance of such a project becomes prominent first from the centrality of the component of “the identity” in the past, present, and future of the Palestinian people, and from the close connection of the identity with the state of the conflict and the national struggle in the second place, in addition to the academic and scientific importance of the researches and studies of the identity.

تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تقديم مقاربة نقدية تحليلية لواقع ومستقبل "الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية" في ظل الجدل المستمر حول الموضوع ذاته، وذلك من خلال تحليل خطابات الهوية السائدة، بالاستناد إلى إشكالية تفترض أنّ قضية الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية هي قضية حركة التحرر الوطني الفلسطينية، وليست قضية التحليل النظري المجرد، وهي بالضرورة قضية المشروع الوطني الأول الذي عبّر عن تلك الهوية، وأنّ تطور الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية ارتبط بالكفاح الوطني على الأرض وليس بتحليلات النخب "المثقفة"، وبالتالي فإنّ صيرورة الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية المستقبلية محكومة بقدرة حركة التحرر الوطني الفلسطينية على تجاوز مأزقها: مأزق الحركة والمشروع والهوية، ذلك أنّ الصيرورة الطبيعية للهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية هي صيرورة كفاحية بالضرورة، والتراجع في المشروع الكفاحي هو أكبر خطر يهدد مستقبل هذه الهوية بالذات. موضوع كهذا تبرز أهميته أولاً من مركزية مكوّن "الهوية" في ماضي وحاضر ومستقبل الشعب الفلسطيني، ومن ارتباط الهوية الوثيق بحالة الصراع والكفاح الوطني ثانياً، بالإضافة إلى الأهمية العلمية الأكاديمية لأبحاث ودراسات الهوية.
