| 520 | |b This paper discusses the identity of the pr-Dt in the Old Kingdom, the different contexts mentioning that term, the function and the workers of this place. This paper proposes that the term pr-Dt was referring to different meanings like a mastaba or a tomb and a storehouse near the settlement of the deceased for the funerary equipment and provisions. It was also refers to an institution called the estate of eternity consisting of villages, marshes, lands and workshops. The role of this institution was during the lifetime for ensuring a luxury lifestyle and after the death of its owner for an eternal funerary cult. Clearly, it was the main producer and supplier for the needs of the funerary cult or as long as possible for them. | ||
