المستخلص: تميزت عمارة مساجد مدينة إب وجبلة بفراغاتها المعمارية المغلقة "البنية" بيت الصلاة والمفتوحة "الصحن". والمبنية بعناصر معمارية مختلفة من الدعائم والقباب والعقود. وكان لأشكالها وخصائصها الفضائية المعمارية الأثر البالغ في الشعور بالسكينة والاطمئنان والخشوع لله عز وجل. ولوحدة جوهر مبانيها ومضمونها بوصفها مراكز دينية واجتماعية وتفردها المعماري، وتميزها المكاني والتشكيلي ضمن النسيج العمراني المدني، تأتي أهمية هذا البحث الذي يهدف إلى دراسة الخصائص المكانية للفضاء المعماري وتحليلها في تلك المراكز. ولتحقيق الهدف تستهل الدراسة بمقدمة نظرية لمفهوم المكان والفضاء المعماري. ثم دراسة خصائص الفضاء المعماري وتحليلها في أهم مساجد مدينتي إب وجبلة، وصولا إلى بعض النتائج والتوصيات التي أكدت على جمال عمارة الفضاء الداخلي لمساجد المدينتين، وتميز فراغاتها الداخلية ذات الفضاءات المتعددة، وعناصرها المختلفة: الدعائم والعقود والقباب والأسقف التي جمعت بين الإنشاء والتشكيل الجمالي الفريد من نوعه. وكانت مثالا واضحا ومتميزا للعمارة المحلية التي نفتقدها اليوم في كثير من مساجدنا الحديثة والمعاصرة.

The architecture of Ibb and Jiblah mosque is distinguished by its closed architectural "Albaniah" prayer hose, and its ' Alsahn" "courtyard of the mosque" open architectural space. The mosque are built of various architectural elements as props, domes, and arches. Their architectural spatial properties and shapes are the reasons behind their extensive impact an the feeling of calmness, peacefulness and submissiveness to Allah. The privacy of the essence, and content of their buildings as religious and social centers, their architectural privacy and their locational and configurational distinction within urban civilized fabric are the reasons behind this research. This research aims to study and analyze the locational properties of architectural space in them. To achieve this aim, this research begins with a theoretical introduction an the concepts of architectural space and place. Then it studies and analysis the properties of the architectural space in the most important mosques in Ibb and Jiblah. It ends with giving some of the findings and recommendations which confirm the beauty of the building of the interior space of the mosques in Ibb and Jiblah and the distinction of their interior space which have various spaces and different elements as props, arches, domes and callings which combine the structure and beautiful unique construction and become a distinguished example of local architecture which we miss in many of our modern and contemporary mosques today
