المستخلص: In this paper, we were focused on intermediate cities and the need to appreciate the importance of their role in reducing spatial disparities and imbalances through their role as a link and intermediary between urban and rural areas. Through this paper, we have attempted to demonstrate that, with a performant transport system, the intermediate cities of the wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou would succeed in reducing territorial disparities between urban centers and rural areas through the population flow generated by the availability of transport and socioeconomic facilities in the intermediate cities.

Dans ce travail, nous nous sommes intéressés aux villes intermédiaires et à la nécessité d’apprécier l’importance de leur rôle dans l’atténuation des disparités et déséquilibres grâce à leur rôle de liaison et d’intermédiation entre l’urbain et le rural. A travers ce papier, nous avons essayés donc de démontrer qu’avec un système de transport performant, les villes intermédiaires de la wilaya de Tizi-Ouzou parviendraient à réduire les inégalités territoriales entre centre urbain et zones rurales grâce au flux de population généré par la disponibilité des transports et des équipements socio-économiques dans les villes intermédiaires.
