Zaghawa language specifically the Wagii dialect has a unique set of personal, possessive, reflexive, demonstrative, indefinite and interrogative pronouns. The dependent set of personal pronouns are used as agreement morphemes marking the verb. The set of possessive pronouns can be used in abbreviated forms attached to the noun and this normally happens in fast speech among the Zaghawa speakers. Personal and demonstrative pronouns can substitute a noun in a sentence while interrogative pronouns occupy the object position in a sentence. Interrogative pronouns replace a noun when they are used in the form of indirect questions.
