|a يتناول هذا البحث باختصار التطورات الثقافية التي شهدها السودان خلال فتره العصر الحجري القديم، من خلال الاكتشافات الأثرية، خاصة تلك التي جرت خلال الخمسين سنة الأولي من القرن العشرين. وقد تبين من خلال الوقوف على نتائج هذه القراءة، عن طريق تسليط الضوء على أهم المعطيات الأثرية التي كشفتها المسوحات والحفريات، أنه لا تزال هناك العديد من القضايا العالقة التي تتأرجح بين التنظير والتطبيق، خاصة مع محدودية الحفريات التي تتناول هذه الفترة ولا يزال الوقت مبكرا لإعطاء صورة تفصيلية لهذه الفترة خاصة المتعلقة بالأصول الأولي للعصر الحجري القديم في السودان ومراحل انتقاله التطوري المعروفة عالميا.

|f This research examines briefly the cultural developments witnessed by Sudan during the Paleolithic era, through archaeological discoveries, especially those made during the first 50 years of the twentieth century. The results of this reading and the most important archaeological data revealed by surveys and excavations showed that there are still many outstanding issues that fluctuate between observation and application, especially with the limited excavations covering this period. It is too early to give a detailed picture of this period, especially with regard to the first origins of the Paleolithic era in Sudan and the internationally known stages of its evolutionary transition.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
