يستعرض هذا البحث تجربة الفنانة منى حاطوم التي تعتبر واحدة من الفنانين الأكثر تمثيلا للمشهد الاجتماعي للأوضاع في فلسطين بتركيزها على مضامين الوطن والهوية. لذلك يجد المتتبع لأعمال هذه الفنانة أنها تحمل خصوصية عربية فلسطينية مرتبطة بالهوية والسياسة والجنسية، كما يمكن ملاحظة حالة اغترابها عن وطنها الذي لم تنساه رغم بعدها عنه. استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في عرض وتحليل عدد من أعمال الفنانة المرتبطة بمضامين الوطن والهوية. ومن خلال التحليل البصري لهذه الأعمال اتضح أنها اعتمدت في عمليات أنتاجها على معظم وسائل الفن المعاصر المطورة من المنحوتات الحديدية الضخمة، والتنصيبات، وفن الفيديو وأداء الجسد؛ بهدف استنزاف طاقاته وقدراته المخبئة. كما أظهرت عمليات التقصي في الكثير من أعمالها ارتباطها بالوطن وجدانياً رغم بعدها عنه أو عدم عيشها فيه، تجسدت في مفردات الهوية المعبرة عن المكان والأحداث والانتماء بصورة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة ترسيخا لقيم الحنين للوطن، فأصبحت تجربتها تبحث فيما تتذكره وتراه حولها من عناصر للتعبير عن مشاعرها وهويتها بالأشكال والرموز والعلامات. وخلص البحث إلى أن مفردات الوطن هي مرادفة تماماً لمفردات الهوية، فكانت تجربة الفنانة منى حاطوم من التجارب الحقيقية الجديرة بالبحث والدراسة بشكل أكثر تعمقا ومن أبعاد مختلفة.
This research aims to present and exam the experience of Mona Hatoum which is considered as one of the most representative artist of the social situation in Palestine; focusing on the contexts of the homeland and identity. The follower of Mona Hatoum artworks finds that her works carry out the identity and individuality of Palestinian which are linked to politics and citizenship. It can also note the case of alienation from her homeland which is never been forgotten even when she far from it. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to exam and analyze a number of artist artworks which related to the contexts of the homeland and identity. Through the visual analysis of her artworks it show that the artist used most developed techniques of contemporary art in the processes of her art production including metal sculptures, installation art, video art and body performances with aiming to express the hidden energy and power of herself. The investigation process in her artworks show deep emotional involvement and engagements with her homeland even she is far from it. The icons and symbols of identity were seen in the expression process of place, events and affiliations whether direct or indirect way with aim of establishing homesick values. Her experience becomes a model of investigating the artist's memory or what she could observed around her in order to express artist's feeling and identity using shapes, symbols and signs. This research concluded that the homeland themes are synonymous with themes of identity and the experience of Mona Hatoum is a real experience and worth to be investigated deeply form other different dimensions.
