|a يقدم هذا البحث بلدة العلا في شمال غرب الجزيرة العربية التابعة لمنطقة المدينة المنورة في المملكة العربية السعودية في الوقت الحاضر، عبر كتابات الرحالة الألماني (يوليوس أويتنغ Julius Euting) الذي زار البلدة أياما من شهر جمادى الأولى لعام 1301 ه/ أبريل 1884 م. وجاءت زيارة وكتابات الرحالة الألماني عن بلدة العلا لتقدم مادةً تاريخية هامة عنها وعن أوضاعها العامة السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية. وحاول الباحث التعليق على هذه الرحلة؛ للخروج -قدر الإمكان- بقراءة تاريخية علمية لتاريخ البلدة عن هذه الرحلة.

|b This research presents the town of Ula in the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula, which belongs to the Medina area in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at present through the writings of a German traveler Julius Oeteng who visited the town days of the month of Jumada I of 1301 April 1884. The visits and writings of the travelers came from the town of Al-Ula to provide an important historical material about the town and its general political, economic and social conditions. The researcher tried to comment on this trip to get as far as possible historical and scientific reading of the history of the town through this trip.
