أدى ظهور الإنترنت ووجود أشكال جديدة من وسائل الأعلام وتوفر إمكانيات ومميزات لم تكن متاحة من قبل إلى زيادة الأقبال على هذه الوسائل وبالتالي ظهور تأثيرات مختلفة وعلاقات جديد بينها وبين مستخدميها لم تكن موجودة من قبل. وتتمتع الصحافة الإلكترونية بكثير من المميزات ويستخدمها الكثير من الشباب وتتيح كم هائل من الأخبار والمعلومات في المجالات المختلفة، وهي توفر لمستخدميها مساحة للتعبير عن الذات وعرض وجهات النظر المختلفة ونقد وتحليل المحتوى المنشور فيها. والتفكير الناقد تفكير عقلاني تأملي يركز على ما يجب القيام به ويحسن من قدرتنا على استخدام عقولنا بدلا من عواطفنا، يجعلنا أكثر صدقا مع أنفسنا، ونتعرف على ما لا نعرفه، ويساعدنا في التفكير المنطقي وحل المشكلات واتخاذ القرارات المناسبة. ونظرا لمميزات الصحافة الإلكترونية وكثرة استخدامها بين الشباب ولأهمية التفكير الناقد للشباب وللمجتمع ككل؛ جاءت فكرة هذه الدراسة لمعرفة العلاقة بين استخدام الشباب الجامعي للصحف الإلكترونية ووجود مهارة التفكير الناقد لديهم. وتتحدد مشكلة الدراسة في الإجابة على تساؤل مؤداه: •ما العلاقة بين استخدام الشباب الجامعي للصحافة الإلكترونية ونمو مهارة التفكير الناقد لديهم؟ ومن هنا ستقوم الدراسة بالإجابة على التساؤلات الآتيه: ١ - ما حجم تعرض شباب الجامعة للصحف الإلكترونية عينة الدراسة ؟ ٢ - ما مدى العلاقة بين استخدام شباب الجامعة للصحف الإلكترونية عينة الدراسة واكتسابهم للتفكير الناقد؟ ويشتمل البحث على ما يأتي: مدخل الدراسة: ويتضمن (مشكلة البحث- تساؤلات البحث -أهداف البحث - أهمية البحث- مصطلحات البحث- منهج البحث- عينة البحث- أدوات البحث) الإطار النظري: ويتضمن محورين (الصحافة الإلكترونية- التفكير الناقد). الدراسات السابقة: وتتضمن (دراسات تناولت الصحافة الإلكترونية وعلاقتها ببعض المتغيرات- دراسات تناولت التفكير الناقد وعلاقته ببعض المتغيرات) الإطار التطبيقي: ويتناول تطبيق أدوات الدراسة على شباب الجامعة عينة الدراسة لمعرفة العلاقة بين استخدام الصحافة الإلكترونية ومهارة التفكير الناقد لديهم. ويختتم البحث بمجموعة من التوصيات
