نظرا لأهمية النشاطات الرياضية اتجه القائمون على العملية التعليمية إلى إيجاد طرق وأساليب متنوعة هدفها تطوير العملية التعليمية ومنها أنموذج الانتقاء لغرض تسهيل عملية التعلم. وتعد فعالية دفع الثقل احدى الفعاليات الصعبة في ألعاب القوى أثناء تعليم هذه الفعالية لارتباط الأداة مع الطالبة حين التطبيق العملي، ومن أجل تبسيط عملية التعلم لهذه الفعالية لجأ الباحثان إلى استخدام هذا الأنموذج ويهدف البحث إلى إعداد منهج تعليمي وفقأ لأنموذج الانتقاء في تعلم فعالية دفع الثقل بالإضافة إلى التعرف على تأثير هذا المنهج على تعلم فعالية دفع الثقل للطالبات. أما فروض البحث فهي وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين نتائج الاختبارات القبلية والبعدية للمجموعتين التجريبيتين والضابطة، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين نتائج الاختبارات البعدية للمجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة. تم استخدام المنهج التجريبي لملائمته وطبيعة البحث بتصميم المجموعتين المتكافئتين وكانت العينة من طالبات المرحلة الأولى/ جامعة بغداد/ كلية التربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضة للبنات، وتم معالجة النتائج إحصائيا واستنتج الباحثون عدة أمور أهمها المنهج التعليمي وفقا لأنموذج الانتقاء أثر إيجابيا في تعلم فعالية دفع الثقل. أما التوصيات فقد أوصى الباحثان بعدة توصيات أهمها استخدام أنموذج الانتقاء خلال الوحدة التعليمية لتسهيل عملية التعلم.
