|b The difficulties of translating idiomatic expressions is a fact that the translator runs into in order to pass a text from one language to another. For an approach of the literary text from a translatological point of view, we present a comparative study of the novel "The Kingdom of the Butterfly" by Waciny Laaredj and translated by Mohamed Sehaba. We are interested in the translation of fixed expressions from the source language (Arabic) to the target language (French). A literary translation that transposes facts from a distant geographical and cultural reality.

|d Les difficultés de traduire des expressions idiomatiques est un fait auquel se heurte le traducteur pour faire passer un texte d’une langue à une autre. Pour une approche du texte littéraire d’un point de vue traductologique, nous présentons une étude comparative du roman « Le royaume du papillon » de Waciny Laaredj et traduit par Mohamed Sehaba. Nous nous intéressons à la traduction faite des expressions figées de la langue source (l’arabe) à la langue cible (le français). Une traduction littéraire qui transpose des faits d’une réalité géographique et culturelle éloignée.
