|b Applied linguistics is one of the fields of research that have contributed to the accumulation of scientific knowledge through the implementation of pedagogical tools to develop language-learning and language-teaching techniques, for the native language and the foreign languages alike, in order to overcome the impending difficulties and obstacles. In so doing, applied linguistics collaborates efficiently in solving numerous problems in the field of didactics, and answering various scientific and pedagogical questions that face the language teacher, or issues connected with other fields like sociolinguistics, speech and pronunciation defects, language planning, dictionary editing, contrastive linguistics, translation, ... etc.
