Max Aub, one of the masters of brevity, based the foundations of the work micro stories with his book titled Crimes (C.E., 1957), which was unsuccessful in its time, being judged as minor genre. The work consists of a collection of micro stories which common point is death by murder or suicide, mixed with irony and black humor. However, violence is born of the heinous crimes perpetrated by the characters narrating the stories. The humor is nourished by the attempt of the murderers to reverse their roles as victimizers into victims. The effect of Mexico stands largely on Max Aub, showing that violence is the result of corruption at the time of called alemanista, beside the cultural heritage of this country. The work is a product of a humanist author who wants to accentuate the feeling of bitterness and existential loneliness in which humanity lives, and at the same time, it is a critique of barbarism and violence without reason that govern the world. It is a scream against humanity in an ironic tone that seems to have a striking effect on the reader, breaking the horizon of their expectations.
