المستخلص: كثيرا ما يتساءل الباحث في الأدب الشعبي عن مصطلح القصص الشعبي، أو الحكايات الشعبية والخرافية في سرد الأحداث ومساراتها في التراث المنقول عبر الأجيال، سواء كان ذلك مشفاهة عن طريق الرواة مباشرة في ميدان البحث، أو مدونا في الكتب والمجلات والبحوث الأكاديمية، سواء هنا أو هناك تعترض الدارسين إشكالية طالما تطرق إليها الباحثون ألا وهي إشكالية المصطلح وإشكالية التصنيف، نظراً للاختلاف الكبير الموجود بين الدراسات.
رغم ذلك تشترك كلها بمجموعة من الوظائف التي أدتها وتؤديها كل أصناف القصص أو الحكايات الشعبية في الأوساط الاجتماعية لما لها من ترفيه وتشويق وجمالية من جهة، وتثقيف وتعليم وتربية من جهة أخرى.


Le chercheur en littérature populaire s’interroge fréquemment sur la terminologie des contes populaires ou et les contes merveilleux sur le plan de la narration des évènements et leur parcours dans le patrimoine véhiculé de génération en génération que se soit au niveau oral et directement par les conteurs eux-mêmes dans le domaine de la recherche ou bien au niveau écrit dans les recueils de textes, les revues et les recherches académiques.
Quel que soit le mode de transfèrement de ce patrimoine populaire, les chercheurs se confrontent au problématique de la terminologie et celui du classement et ce, à cause du grand différend dans les études.


A researcher in folk literature often asks about the term folk stories or folk stories and fairy tales in the narrative of events and their trajectories in the heritage transmitted through generations; Whether it's verbally reported by narrators in the field of research, or compiled in books, magazines and academic research. Whether here or there, the learners face a problem as long as the researchers have addressed it, which is the problem of the term and the problem of classification, due to the great difference between the studies.
Nevertheless, they all share a set of functions undertaken and performed by all sorts of stories or folk tales in social circles because of its entertainment, thrill and aesthetics on the one hand, and education, culturing and learning on the other.
