المستخلص: The current research aims at knowing the nature of the relationship between the research variables: environmental mastery and its relationship to the parental bonding and the personal growth initiative of university students, and the extent of the contribution of the two variables (parental Bonding) and (personal growth initiative) in the total variation of the environmental Mastery. The sample consists of (400) Male and female students from the universities of Baghdad and Mustansiriyah. The measures of (Environmental Mastery, Parental Bonding, and Personal growth Initiative), have been administered and the use of Pearson correlation coefficient, and test samples t (t-test) and analysis of multiple regression, the results show the following: There is a significant positive correlation between (environmental Mastery) and (parental Bonding) and (personal growth initiative). The variable (personal growth initiative) contributes (%11.2) of the total variance in the variable (environmental Mastery), the variable (parental Bonding) has no contribution.

يستهدف البحث الحالي تعرف طبيعة العلاقة بين متغيرات البحث: التمكن البيئي وعلاقته بـــــــ التعلق الوالدي ومبادرة النمو الشخصي لدى طلبة الجامعة، ومدى إسهام متغيري (التعلق الوالدي) و(مبادرة النمو الشخصي) في التباين الكلي لمتغير (التمكن البيئي). تألفت عينة البحث من (400) طالبا وطالبة من جامعتي بغداد والمستنصرية، تم تطبيق مقاييس البحث الثلاثة، وباستعمال معامل ارتباط بيرسون والاختبار التائي (t-test) وتحليل الانحدار المتعدد، أظهرت النتائج: وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائيا بين (التمكن البيئي) وكل من (التعلق الوالدي) و(مبادرة النمو الشخصي)، يسهم متغير (مبادرة النمو الشخصي) بـــــ (11.2%) من التباين الكلي في متغير (التمكن البيئي)، أما متغير (التعلق الوالدي) ليس له إسهام.
