تحليل الخطاب مصطلح عام لعدد من النهج لاستخدام تحليل كتابي، صوتي، أو لغة الإشارة. ومحاولة لفهم الأنظمة اللغوية في الخطابة باستخدام معاير وسمات المعنى اللغوي والصوتي وقواعد اللغة. حيث يتطلب تحليل نص الخطاب استرجاع الظروف التي أدت إلى إنتاج النص، وهو ما نسميه السياق، فالسياق جزء أساسي من عملية تحليل الخطاب. لذلك تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التركيز على تعريف تحليل نص الخطاب وكذلك التطرق إلى عرض بعض وجهات النظر لبعض العلماء، ومن ثم يتناول البحث بعض الأمثلة والتطبيقات العملية لعينات من تحليل جزء من محادثات هاتفية ومقتطفات من خطاب الرئيس الأمريكي أوباما. من خلال هذا التحليل للبيانات أوضحت الدراسة أهمية هذا النوع من تحليل الخطاب في دراسة وفهم المعنى المقصود في النص الخطابي، وكيفية استخدام اللغة لتحقيق الأغراض التي تخص كل متحدث.
Discourse analysis is an attempt to discover linguistic regularities in discourse using grammatical, phonological and semantics criteria. The aim of this paper is to shed some light on discourse analysis and explain how it is useful in analyzing language functions. It is believed that by investigating all elements in the context, we learn how the ways in which we communicate are constructed. Therefore, using discourse analysis can be effective in the participants’ language and can help to uncover the hidden meaning of some words and expression. It is essential to be aware of using discourse analysis as a method of analyzing the structure of texts or utterances longer than sentences. To achieve the purpose of the study, the concept of the discourse analysis is elaborated with examples, and part of recorded phone calls with samples of political speech are analyzed and investigated to support the hypothetical role of discourse analysis. The study introduced the term of discourse analysis and showed how it is important in exploring the ways people use language to achieve their purpose.
