إن قضية إشكالية الفلسفة والمنطق في الأندلس بين العقل والنقل والسلطة خلال القرنين الرابع والخامس الهجريين لم تكن لها ذكر مع بدايات القرون الثلاث الأولى وإنما بدأت تطل برأسها مع بداية القرن الرابع الهجري وما تلاه من قرون يتضح ذلك من خلال كتب التراجم التي ترجمت لمن اشتغل بالفلسفة والمنطق من علماء الأندلس خلال القرنين الرابع والخامس الهجريين، على النقيض من ذلك أن المشتغلين بالفلسفة والمنطق من أهل المشرق كُثر وأمرهم ظاهر، وكثير منهم من بطانة الطبقة الحاكمة (السلطة) خاصة إبان العصر العباسي الأول ولاسيما عصر الخليفة المأمون وما بعده. إن المتتبع لتاريخ ظهور الفلسفة والمنطق يجدها قد تسربت مع علوم اليونان والرومان إبان حركة الترجمة والنقل التي أطلقها حكام بني العباس في المشرق لكتب اليونان والرومان والفرس كالطب والرياضيات والهندسة والتي تسرب كثير من جدلياتها وفلسفتها في الأديان والعقائد إلى أهل الزيغ والجدل ممن ينتسب للإسلام من معتزلة وجهمية ورافضة فتشربت هذه الفرق مذهب التشكيك والجدل لدى فلاسفة تلك الأمم واستعملوها للتشكيك والجدل في الذات الإلهية وأصول الدين وثوابته، مستعملة التأويل والتعطيل بالحجج العقلية والمنطقية حسب زعمهم الباطل، ضاربة بالحجج النقلية الثابتة الصحيحة عرض الحائط، فتأثر بآرائهم كثير من طلاب العلم والعلماء، ووصل هذا التأثير للأندلس عند طريق الرحلات العلمية والصلات الحضارية والعلاقات التجارية بين المشرق والمغرب، ودخلت الفلسفة والمنطق الأندلس بداية على استحياء فكان المشتغلون بها بداية يتسترون خلف الزهد والصلاح أو يروجونها مع علوم ملازمة لها كالطب وعلوم الفلك والهندسة والرياضيات، ثم نراها مع بداية القرن الخامس الهجري تظهر واضحة جلية وتحت رعاية السلطة الحاكمة، وكانت قبل ذلك في عصر سابق يخشى منتحلوها سلطة فقهاء المالكية التي كانت تربطها علاقات وثيقة بالسلطة الحاكمة في البلاد، والتي بدورها ترفض أي فكر أو مذهب وافد لا يتوافق مع ما عليه مذهب أهل البلاد الرسمي وهو المذهب المالكي السني، وهكذا يتبين مدى التعارض بين المنطق والفلسفة التي هي من علوم العقل، وبين علوم الشريعة التي هي من علوم النقل، وتبين مدى التباين في مواقف الحكام في الأندلس بين مانع ومجيز حسب الوضع السياسي السائد ومدى تأثير هذه الإشكاليات على الواقع الأندلسي على المدى الطويل.
