| 520 | |b The purpose of the current study was to develop a valid and reliable instrument for measuring linguistic self-efficacy of adult EFL learners. Data were collected from 179 EFL pre-service teachers at the Faculty of Education, Fayoum University. The data collected were analyzed to provide information about the validity and reliability of the scale. Content validity, internal consistency, construct validity (using factor analysis) and reliability of the scale were examined to make sure that the scale is valid, reliable, and practical for use. The analysis results showed that the scale is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing EFL adult learners' linguistic self-efficacy. The final scale consisted of 51 items, which required respondents to rate their self-efficacy beliefs on a five-point scale ranging from "never true of me" to" always true of me". | ||
