المستخلص: يتصل الحق في حرية التعبير اتصالا وثيقا بالحق في الحصول على المعلومات، فالنقاش حول مد الناس بالمعلومات التي تحيطهم علما بما يجري في المحيط الذي يعيشون فيه، ليتخذوا القرارات والمواقف السليمة اتجاه القضايا التي تعترضهم في حياتهم اليومية، كما أن النقاش الدائر اليوم حول الحق في الحصول على المعلومات، لا يمكن أخذه من باب الترف الفكري في مجتمعنا الحالي الذي يتخبط في أولويات متزاحمة في قمة سلم التراتبية، بل هو جزء أساسي من تحقيق التنمية الشاملة والعدالة الاجتماعية وبصفة عامة لتحقيق الديمقراطية.

Le droit à la liberté d'expression est étroitement lié au droit d'accès à l'information. Le débat porte sur la fourniture aux personnes d'informations qui les entourent de ce qui se passe dans l'environnement dans lequel elles vivent, pour prendre des décisions et des attitudes saines à l'égard des problèmes auxquels elles sont confrontées dans leur vie quotidienne, tout comme le débat qui se déroule aujourd'hui sur le droit d'accès En ce qui concerne l'information, cela ne peut pas être considéré comme une question de luxe intellectuel dans notre société actuelle, qui s'effondre dans des priorités concurrentes au sommet de l'échelle hiérarchique, mais est plutôt un élément essentiel de la réalisation d'un développement global, de la justice sociale et, en général, de la démocratie.

The right to freedom of expression is closely related to the right to information. Discussion about providing people with information that will inform them of what is happening in the environment in which they live, so that they can make right decisions and take appropriate positions towards the issues that confront them in their daily lives. Today's debate on the right to information cannot be taken as a matter of intellectual luxury in our current society, which is caught in competing priorities at the top of the hierarchy; instead, it is an essential part of achieving inclusive development, social justice and, in general, achieving democracy.
