هدف البحث إلى التعرف إلى مفهوم التدريب المدمج وأهميته واستراتيجية تطبيقه في دعم التنمية المهنية من قبل الأكاديمية، والتعرف إلى التوجهات العالمية المعاصرة في تنمية الأداء المهني للمعلمين، وصياغة تصور مقترح لتفعيل التدريب المدمج في تنمية الأداء المهني لمعلمي التعليم قبل الجامعي في دولة الكويت في ضوء بعض التوجهات المعاصرة، ووظف البحث المنهج الوصفي من خلال تحليل الأدبيات التي تناولت موضوع البحث، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن التدريب المدمج يعبر عن النمط التدريبي الذي يجمع ما بين سمات التدريب التقليدي والتدريب الإلكتروني؛ لسهولة توصيل المعارف، والمهارات المتنوعة، داخل القاعات التدريبية وعبر الإنترنت، ويراعي الفروق الفردية بين المعلمين، وأن التدريب المدمج يهدف إلى تفعيل البرامج التدريبية وزيادة جودتها في كل مكان وزمان، وأن التدريب المدمج يتصف بالجمع بين مميزات كل من التدريب الإلكتروني والتدريب التقليدي وجها لوجه، كما أظهر البحث أن من أبرز التوجهات المعاصرة في عملية تنمية الأداء المهني للمعلمين هي اتجاه الترخيص المهني للمعلمين- مدخل التنمية المهنية المتمركزة على المدرسة- اتجاه التنمية المهنية الذاتية للمعلمين، وصمم البحث تصورا مقترحا لتفعيل التدريب المدمج في تنمية الأداء المهني لمعلمي التعليم قبل الجامعي في دولة الكويت في ضوء بعض التوجهات المعاصرة.
