المستخلص: The study aimed at identifying the relationship between psychological attainment and methods of coping with psychological stress using appropriate scales. The study sample is composed of 120 professors at KAU. Psychological attainment and methods of coping with psychological stress scales were used. Results indicated that there is no statistically significant relation between psychological attainment and methods of coping with psychological stress among the study population. There is a positive relationship between time management, cognitive reconstruction, responsibility bearing and the total score of the psychological attainment scale score. There is a negative relationship between aggression and emotional dimension. In respect to age variable, the study revealed that there are differences in the social and psychological dimensions for the group aged ranging from (45 years to 55 or less). There are no significant differences in this variable with emotional nor with professional dimension. In respect to the academic level variable, there are statistically significant differences within the phycological, social, and professional dimension in favor to professors and associate professors, while there were no statistically significant differences in the emotional dimension. With respect to the marital status variable, there are statistically significant differences for the emotional and social dimension in favor to the married group.
