المستخلص: تشكل العلاقة بين السياسة المتمثلة بـ(السلطة) و (الدين) المتمثلة برجل الدين أو ما يعرف بـ(الفقيه) أو (عالم الدين) تشكل علامة بارزة في بنية المجتمع الإنساني بشكل عام والمجتمع العربي بشكل خاص. وهذه العلاقة الجدلية تنعكس مرة إيجابا ومرة سلبا على واقع المجتمع بحسب مقتضيات المرحلة التي يعيشها الإنسان العربي. إن رمزية (رجل الدين) تسير باتجاهين في المسرحية العربية، الاتجاه الأول هو اتجاه الخير والاتجاه الثاني هو اتجاه الشر، أو لنقل إن مجتمعنا العربي المتدين عرف من خلال فئتين، فئة حافظت على روح الشريعة وسارت بفرائض الدين في طريق كله تزكية روحية وصفاء نفساني مستنير لا غبار عليه، وفئة ضالة. اشتعلت على العلم والشريعة فزعمت إنها للعامة، العامة التي لا بد أن تأخذ بالعلوم والفرائض والشرائع والقوانين لضبط حركاتها وتقيد تصرفاتها في كل شيء، في العبادات وفي المعاملات على السواء. وبعبارة أخرى إنها ارتدت رداء السلطة وهذا البحث أراد أن يشخص حدود العلاقة بين الاثنين بين (السلطة) و (الدين) من خلال الحذر وحسن التعامل مع الشخصية الدينية والسياسية معا، وهو ما يقتضيه عمل الأديب المسرحي بوصفه مبدعا من جانب ومنقبا ومنتقدا لسلبيات مجتمعه ومبصرا بها من جانب آخر.

The relationship between the power and the religion, which is representing by the cleric, constitutes a milestone in the structure of human society in general and Arabic society in particular. This dialectical relationship is reflected Once again negatively and positively on the reality of society according to the requirements of the era, which has lived by the Arabic man. The symbolism of the cleric is moving in two directions in the Arabic play. The first trend is the direction of good. The second is the direction of evil, or to convey that our religious Arabic society was known through two categories: a group that preserved the spirit of the canon and followed the religious duties in a path of spiritual recommendation and enlightened spiritual purity, and a misguided class caught the science and the canon, claiming it is for the public. The public must take the sciences, statutes, laws and canons to control their movements and restrict their actions in everything, both in acts of worship and in transactions. In other words, it has worn off the robe of power. This research sought to define the limits of the relationship between the two, power and religion, through caution and good dealing. With the religious and political personality together, this is required by the work of the playwright as creative, researcher and criticizing the negative aspects of his society and demonstrated by the other.
