المستخلص: يدور موضوع هذا البحث، حول إجراء مقاربة بين آراء ابن جني النحوية في كتابه الخصائص والنظرية التحويلية التوليدية. وقد تمت هذه المقاربة وفق إجراءات منهجية تتمثل في تحديد عنوان المقاربة باستخدام مصطلحات النظرية التحويلية التوليدية، ومن ثم تحديد عنوان الباب في كتاب الخصائص، مع إيراد قول ابن جني وأمثلته، وإيراد آراء التحويليين المعاصرين، فالمناقشة والمقاربة. في ضوء ذلك خلص هذا البحث إلى نتائج عدة، منها: لقد وافقت النظرية التحويلية العلامة ابن جني في جوهرها وهي القواعد التحويلية التي تنبني عليها، وهي: "الحذف، والزيادة، والنقل (التقديم والتأخير) وقد أورد العلامة ابن جني ذلك في باب عقده سماه (شجاعة اللغة العربية)، وقد أظهرت الدراسة تشابها بين ما اصطلحته النظرية التحويلية التوليدية بالبنية العميقة والبنية الفوقية، وما أورده العلامة ابن جني في كتابه الخصائص تحت "باب في الفرق بين تقدير الإعراب وتفسير المعنى". وذلك من خلال الإشارة إلى الأصل في نظر ابن جني وتوافقه مع البنية العميقة في النظرية التحويلية، وبعد إجراء التطبيق على بعض أمثلة ابن جني وجدنا تشابها كبيرا بين الخطوات التي اتبعها ابن جني في توضيح أمثلته خلال شرحه، وبين الخطوات المنهجية التي تتبعتها النظرية التحويلية في التحليل. حيث يقوم العلامة ابن جني برد المثال إلى أصله، وتقوم النظرية التحويلية برد البنية عند تحليلها إلى البنية العميقة وتنطلق منها في التحليل.

The topic of this research revolves around the comparative between the Ibni Ginni grammatical views in his book “The Characteristics (Alkhasa’is)” and transformational theory. This comparative was based on the methodological procedures, and determine the title of the approach using the terms of the transformative theory of transformations, and then specifying the title of the section in the book of “The Characteristics (Alkhasa’is)”, with the statement of Ibni Ginni and his examples, and also the views of the theory of contemporary transformers. In line with this, the research concluded with several results, which includes: The theory of transformation -in its essence- matches Ibni Ginni in the basis of the transformative rules upon which it is based: the "omission, addition, transfer and the delay", which is mentioned by Ibni Ginni under the chapter: (The courage of the Arabic language). The study also revealed the similarities between what known by the theory of transformational deep structure and surface structure, and what Ibni Ginni mentioned in his book characteristics in the chapter titled "the difference between approximating the grammar analysis and interpretation of meaning". By referring to the origin, according to Ibni Ginni and his aligning with the deep structure of transformational theory. after applying some examples of Ibni Ginni, we found a great similarity between the steps taken by Ibni Ginni in exploring his examples during his explanation, and between the methodological steps followed by the theory of transformation in the analysis, we also found that Ibni Ginni originalize his examples, while the theory of transformative respond to the reconstruction of the structure during the analysis to the deep structure and proceed from that for further analysis.
