يتناول هذا البحث ظاهرة قصور الكفاءة اللغوية لدى الطلاب، وتكمن أهمية مناقشة هذا الموضع نظرا للعلاقة القائمة بين اللغة والتفكير والتواصل، مما يعني أن القصور اللغوي إنما يمثل مظهرا من مظاهر غياب نمطية التفكير المنهجي والفلسفي السليم. وإما كان لقصور الكفاءة اللغوية صورا شتى، ويمس نواحي حياتية كثيرة، إذ يؤدي إلى: انهيار قناعة المجتمع والمتعلمين بجدوى التعليم، وغياب الأثر النفعي المباشر للتعليم، وغياب نمطية التفكير، فضلا عن الخسارة الاقتصادية التي تتكبدها الدواة نتيجة لذلك القصور. فإنه يمكن إرجاع تفشي الظاهرة إلى مسببات عديدة منها: ضعف المستوى التعليمي العام، وضآلة المحصول من الألفاظ الفصحى، وبعد اللغة عن التمثيل الفعلي في الحياة، وتنوع وسائل الخطاب التي تعتمد على الصورة عوضا عن اللغة.
The research tackles the phenomenon of the student's inadequacy of the linguistic efficiency. Tackling of such a subject is important because of the relationship between language, thinking and communication. This means that the linguistic inadequacy is one aspect of the absence of proper and stereotyped systematic and philosophic thinking. The linguistic inadequacy has different aspects ,and it effects different sides of life. It causes a decline in the society and the learner's conviction in the usefulness of leaning; an absence of a direct utility of learning ;an absence of stereotyped thinking and an economic loss to the country. There are many reasons for this phenomenon like the inadequacy of the teaching standard in schools, the limited vocabulary of the pupils in standard in Arabic , the inability of language to represent life in a realistic way ,and the availability of picture means of communication. The researchers have used the linguistic method in describing the phenomenon practically. The inadequacy of the pupils is revealed in their inability to express themselves well; to form correct sentences; to make use of information and grammatical concepts ,and to write without spelling mistakes. The research concludes with some solutions to this problem. They include the improvement of the speaking vocabulary, the training of pupils on expressing themselves in different situations ,and on the adequacy of using concepts ,and the increasing of linguistic situation that requires speaking and writing.
