The current research aims at uncovering the relationship between lateral thinking and decision making skills according to sex variables, the number of years of experience in a sample of teachers in the basic education stage. To achieve this goal, the researchers put forward the following hypotheses: - There is a significant correlation between the lateral thinking and the decision-making skills of the research sample. - There are significant differences between males and females in lateral thinking. - There are significant differences between males and females in decision-making skills. - There are differences between the three groups of educational experience in the lateral thinking. - There are differences between the three groups of learning experience in decision-making skills. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers designed a measure of lateral thinking and a scale of decision-making skills. The sample consisted of (178) teachers and teachers of the basic education stage in Gharbia governorate for 2017/2018. After analyzing the data statistically, the results resulted in: There is a statistically significant correlation between lateral thinking and decision making skills. - There are statistically significant differences between males and females in lateral thinking. - There are statistically significant differences between males and females in decision-making skills. - There are differences between the three groups of educational experience in the lateral thinking. - There are differences between the three groups of learning experience in decision-making skills.
