|b This study examines the importance of the nominal exchange rate on the attractiveness of tourists in Algeria, based on data from 1985 to 2017. A VECM (vector error correction model) based on the variables has been implemented. Explanatory: nominal exchange rate (GNP) and GDP per capita in the first eight visitor countries of Algeria, and the dependent variable is the number of tourist arrivals in Algeria. The result of the estimation has shown us that there is a positive effect of the TCN on the number of arrivals. This means that the depreciation of the TCN encourages the attractiveness of the tourists. On the other hand, we found a negative effect between GDP per capita in the eight countries and numbers of arrivals, and this is explained by, the improvement of GDP per capita in these eight countries changes the desired destination to another country rather than Algeria.

|d Cette étude examine l’importance du taux de change nominal sur l’attractivité des touristes en Algérie, à partir des données allant de 1985 jusqu’au 2017, on a mis en place un modèle VECM ( vector error correction model) basé sur les variables explicatives suivantes : taux de change nominal (TCN) et le PIB par tête dans les huit premiers pays visiteurs de l’Algérie. Et sur la variable dépendante qui est le nombre d’arrivées des touristes en Algérie. Le résultat de l’estimation nous a montré qu’il existe un effet positif du TCN sur le nombre d’arrivées cela veut dire que la dépréciation du TCN favorise l’attractivité des touristes, par contre on a trouvé un effet négatif entre le PIB par tête dans les huit pays et le nombre de touristes et cela s’explique par, l’amélioration de PIB par tête dans ces huit pays change l’avis de destination à d’autre pays que l’Algérie.
