المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية للكشف عن درجة حاجة الجامعات اليمنية لتوظيف تقنية الحاسوب في المجالات الإدارية من وجهة نظر نواب العمداء للشؤون الأكاديمية، تبعا لمتغيرات (الجامعة، والكية، والرتبة الأكاديمية، والخبرة الإدارية)، ولتحقيق ذلك استخدمت الدراسة المنهج المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم تطوير استبانة اشتملت (35) فقرة، ووزعت على عينة قوامها (78) نائب عميد، يعملون في (5) جامعات رسمية و(3) جامعات خاصة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة حاجة الجامعات اليمنية لتوظيف تقنية الحاسوب في المجالات الإدارية حصلت على متوسط كلي (3.83)، أي بدرجة احتياج (عالية) وعلى مستوى المجالات؛ حصل مجال التنظيم أعلى متوسط بلغ (3.92)، يليه مجال الرقابة بمتوسط (3.91) وحصل ثالثا مجال التخطيط بمتوسط (3.86) ورابعا مجال تنفيذ مهام الكلية بمتوسط (3.79) وجميعها بدرجة احتياج (عالية)، وأخيرا مجال الإجراءات الإدارية بمتوسط (3.64) ودرجة احتياج (متوسطة)، كما أشارت النتائج إلى أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تصورات نواب العمداء حول درجة حاجة الجامعات اليمنية لتوظيف تقنية الحاسوب في المجالات الإدارية تعزى لاختلاف متغيرات الدراسة: الجامعة، والكلية، والرتبة العملية، والخبرة الإدارية. واستنادا للنتائج تم تقديم جملة من التوصيات والمقترحات لتلبية حاجة الجامعات اليمنية لتوظيف تقنية الحاسوب في المجالات الإدارية وغيرها.

The current study aimed to reveal the degree of need of Yemeni universities to employ computer technology in the administrative fields from the viewpoint of the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, according to the variables (university, college, academic position, and administrative experience). To achieve this, the study used the descriptive analytical method, and a questionnaire was developed that included (35) items, and distributed to a sample of (78) deputy deans, working in (5) formal universities and (3) private universities. The results of the study showed that the degree of need of Yemeni universities to employ computer technology in administrative fields obtained a total average of (3.83), that is, the degree of need is high. At the level of fields, the field of organization got the highest average of (3.92), followed by the field of supervision with an average of (3.91). Thirdly got the field of planning with an average of (3.86) and fourthly the field of implementation of college tasks with an average of (3.79) and all of the fields refer to the high degree of need, and finally the field of administrative procedures with an average of (3.64) and the degree of need is medium. The results also indicated that there are no statistically significant differences in perceptions of vice deans about the degree of the need of Yemeni universities to employ computer technology in the administrative fields due to the different study variables: university, college, academic position, and administrative experience. According to the results, a number of recommendations and proposals were presented to meet the need of Yemeni universities to employ computer technology in the administrative and other fields.
