المستخلص: The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of a suggested unit based on Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) on enhancing motivation towards EFL writing for first year secondary school students. Sixty students were randomly chosen arid divided into two groups: die experimental, group (N=30) and the control group (N=30). After being sure that they were equivalent, the experimental group students were trained in writing process through the use of the suggested unit based on NLP to enhance motivation towards writing, while the regular instruction was used with the control group. To achieve the aims of the study, the researchers prepared two tools; Motivation Scale towards writing and Motivation Observation Checklist towards writing to measure the students' motivation towards writing. The scale was administered to them and the observation checklist was applied on them before and after the experiment. The mean scores of the pre-post administrations of the scale and the pre-post applications of the observation checklist were treated statistically. The results of data analysis, indicated that the experimental group outperformed the control group in their motivation towards EFL writing and the unit based on NLP Lad a. large effect on enhancing the experimental. group students motivation towards EFL writing. In the light of these positive findings, the researchers: recommend the use of NLP for enhancing motivation towards EFL writing.
