|b The widespread of Covid-19 has severely affected the educational process worldwide. The educational systems around the world have decided to adapt to the current situation by utilizing the only inevitable tool available, which is virtual learning. In Iraq, virtual learning is new to the learners and teachers. Therefore, new research studies are needed to address the recent learning issues that emerged in the online learning experience. The present study aims at finding out the level of online learning self-efficacy students have as well as the possible difference in the online learning self-efficacy of students according to their gender, college stage, and prior experience in online learning. The study sample included 151 university students of the English language departments at the Iraqi University and the University of Baghdad. The researchers adopted the online learning self-efficacy scale to collect data. After the statistical analysis, the result proved the students of English language departments have a high level of online learning self efficacy. It also showed that male students have higher level of online learning self-efficacy than females. The findings of the study encourage the educational system in Iraq to assign a bigger role to distance learning approach in the educational process.
