ركزت هذه الدراسة على أحد العوامل المؤثرة على المحافظة على الممتلكات العامة وهو مستوى الوعي البيئى لدى طالبات الجامعة، حيث انتشرت ظاهرة اساءة استخدام أو تدمير الممتلكات العامة في جميع المجتمعات بدرجة مختلفة، مما يحتم على مختلف مؤسسات المجتمع التربوية بالتعاون مع الأسرة القيام بدور ايجابي في غرس قيمة الحفاظ على المرافق والممتلكات العامة وتعزيز الوعي البيئي. وقد كان هدف الدراسة تحديد أثر الوعي البيئي على الحفاظ على الممتلكات العامة لدى طالبات الجامعة. وشملت الدراسة عينة بلغت 150 طالبة من طالبات الجامعات بمدينة جدة. وكانت أهم النتائج كما يلي : - الوعي البيئي لدى أفراد العينة كان وعي بمستوى متوسط، مما يؤكد ضرورة الاهتمام بتكثيف البرامج التوعوية من قبل جميع مؤسسات المجتمع لرفع مستوى الوعي البيئي للأفراد. - هناك علاقة بين مستوى الوعي البيئي وبين دور الأفراد في المحافظة على الممتلكات العامة، فكلما ارتفع مستوى الوعي البيئي زاد الحرص على المحافظة على الممتلكات العامة. - يتأثر مستوى الوعي البيئي والحرص على المحافظة على الممتلكات العامة بكل من المستوى التعليمي للوالدين والمستوى الاقتصادي للأسرة، مما يؤكد على الدور الفعال للأسرة في تعزيز قيم الأبناء المرتبطة بالبيئة وقضاياها وكذلك المحافظة على الممتلكات العامة. ومن هذه المنطلق فإن أهم توصيات الدراسة تتشكل فيما يلي: - ضرورة تكثيف البرامج البيئية التي ترفع مستوى الوعي البيئي من خلال الأنشطة المنهجية واللامنهجية في المدارس والجامعات. - الحرص على سن قوانين صارمة تضمن الحد من مشكلات البيئة والحفاظ على الممتلكات العامة على مستوى الأفراد والمؤسسات. - أهمية تعزيز قيم الانتماء والمواطنة لدى الأبناء من خلال اشراكهم وتمكينهم من تفعيل قدراتهم فى خدمة القضايا البيئية بشكل عام، وقضية المحافظة على الممتلكات العامة بشكل خاص.
This study focuses on the level of environmental awareness among female university students. Which is one of the factors that impacts the protection of public properties. The phenomena of misusing or destroying public properties had increased in all societies on varying levels, necessitating from society’s educational institutes and the family to play a positive role in nurturing the value of protecting public facilities and properties and enhancing environmental awareness. This study aims to determine the impact of public awareness in protecting public properties among university female students. The study included 150 female university students in Jeddah. And the main results are as follows: 1- Environmental awareness of the individuals subject to this study leveled medium. It emphasizes the importance of intensifying of public awareness in order to improve the level of individual’s environmental awareness. 2. It has been established that there is a relationship between the level of environmental awareness and the role of individuals in protecting public properties. The higher the level of environmental awareness is, the more that individuals tend to protect public properties. 3. The level of environmental awareness is impacted by parent’s level of education and family’s income. Which assures the active role of family in enhancing the values, that are related to the environment, of their children. As well as protecting public properties. As such, the study’s main recommendation are as follows: 1- The importance of intensifying environmental programs that raise the level of environmental awareness, through curricular and extra-curricular activities in schools and in universities. 2- The importance of drafting strict laws and regulations that limits environmental issues and protects public properties on both individuals and institutional levels. 3- The importance of enhancing the values of belongingness and nationalism in young individuals, through involving and enabling them to contribute in environmental issues in general, and specifically protecting public properties.
